UAH v6.1 Global Temperature Update for March, 2026: +0.38 deg. CThis Page & DATA Managed by Ray Langella
The Version 6.1 global average lower tropospheric temperature (LT) anomaly for March, 2026 was +0.38 deg. C departure from the 1991-2020 mean, statistically unchanged from the February, 2026 value of +0.39 deg. C. (Source; Dr. Roy Spencer. Ph. D.)
Analysis: According to Dr. Roy Spencer, The March 2026 Temperature Anomaly was the Warmest March of all March's in the 47+ Year history of the Satellite Record. It was also the Warmest Month of all Months in the Contiguous U.S. Lower 48 States. This accounts for March of 2026 being 3.74 deg. C. above average for all March's in the Past 47 + years & 6.73 Deg. F. above average for all March's since 1979.
The Second Highest Month was March of 2012 which 2.2 Deg. C. above the mean. When Represented as Fahrenheit; The Temperature increase is 3.96 Deg. F.
The Third Highest Month goes to December 2025 at +2.1 deg. C. above the mean. When Represented as Fahrenheit; The Temperature increase is 3.78 Deg. F.
