CO2, The Gas of Life
While despised is "CO2 is The Gas of Life. Without CO2 Life in Earth might be very different. In fact, without CO2 Life might not exists at all!

Plants are absorbing more human-produced carbon dioxide than expected
"A new study brings a glimmer of hope in the battle against climate change. The research suggests that the Earth’s plants could absorb more atmospheric CO2 caused by human activities than previously thought."

Monthly Average Mauna Loa CO2
At Rapid Cooling we use The Latest and Historical DATA from The Global Monitoring Laboratory at NOAA. This gives the Consistency of Reporting from one single Source. Individual Articles may Contain DATA from other Sources around the World. CO2 DATA is reported in Parts Per Million (PPM) Rapid Cooling is not affiliated with NOAA and or DATA sets.
How CO2 is Measured;
While there are various ways to measure the amount CO2 in the Atmosphere, the Observatory at Mauna Loa uses a Specific technique; In April of 2019, a new CO2 analyzer was installed at Mauna Loa that uses a technique called Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS). (Prior to this date, an analyzer was used based on infrared absorption.)" For more information Click this link; How we measure background CO2 levels on Mauna Loa.
The Discussion regarding CO2 is not about how much CO2 there is in the Atmosphere but what effects CO2 is having on the Atmosphere, Climate, Weather, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Agriculture etc. There are even some wild claims regarding CO2 however such ideas may be a better suited as a topic of discussion left for our Blog.

The Graph above Represents the annual mean Carbon Dioxide growth rates at The Mauna Loa Observatory since 1959. Decadal Averages of growth rate are shown as Horizontal Black Lines and begin with 1960 for Example. The first plotted horizontal line runs from 1960 through 1969.
Please Note; The Graph below is specific to Mauna Loa, Hawaii
